Indonesia of Central Java Province, together with Riwani Globe as Enterprise Development
Center has conducted training on business model and Business Plan for cooperative. The training aimed
to increase the capacity of members, administrators, and managers of
cooperative-based farmer corporations in Central Java. RIWANI facilitated three
cooperatives namely Gupon Sekar Langit, Citra Kinaraya, and Karya Makmur.
Participants were very enthusiastic about receiving the material as well as
during discussions, group work and during presentations. RIWANI used a
participatory approach to stimulate awareness through brainstorming, group work
and open discussion to share experiences in their respective cooperatives. In
this training, the Cooperative succeeded in compiling a business
model, and a business plan for the cooperative, as well as developing a
strategic plan for the next five years.
To implement the
Program for Strengthening Local Communities (Forest Farmers Group) Towards
Independent and Sustainable Enterprises and Strengthening Forest Management
Units (FMUs) in providing and facilitating Skills for Entrepreneurship and
Business Development, FORCLIME trusted RIWANI Globe to increase capacity on the
Business development. RIWANI Globe supported
Forest Management Unit, local, forest farmers group, Ministry of Environment
and Forestry, and stakeholders to facilitate Focus Group Discussion in three
provinces: Central Sulawesi, Papua and West Papua. This activity ran
effectively and a lot of insight was obtained.
In Business Soft Skill Training was held on 18-19 June 2022 in Bogor which were supported by the ILO (International Labor Organization) for APINDO Jakarta secretariat staff. RIWANI Globe was trusted by the ILO to facilitate this training.
In Business Soft Skills allowed participants to develop important soft skills between employees such as teamwork, interpersonal communication, and managing relationships with superiors or managers. The participants were very active in every discussion session in class and in groups. They stated that it was very necessary to divide the roles within their team so that teamwork can run successfully. In addition, participants could also practice active listening with their friends. Not only how to communicate with fellow staff but also communicating and managing relationships with their manager was also very important. All participants stated that this training could improve their soft skills, and they could implement the knowledge in their workplace.
RIWANI Globe was the implementing partner of PT ASTRA INTERNATIONAL, Tbk on Kampung Berseri Astra program in Morotai Island, North Maluku. The majority of the population of Morotai island are fishermen. Tuna is a superior product from the fisheries sector. Tuna is the main source of income for fishermen on Morotai Island. However, fishermen often face problems such as the availability of ice stocks during tuna fishing and the problem of processing waste from tuna.
This program aimed to increase the capacity of BUMDES to develop the rural economy. RIWANI facilitated some activities such as business management training for micro and small businesses, bookkeeping, productivity, gender and entrepreneurship, market access, and developing appropriate technological innovations for superior products. Moreover, RIWANI also provided business coaching for them to improve their business skills.
This program had a positive impact on fishermen on Morotai Island. They are more skilled in tuna management. In addition, they can use tuna fish waste to generate income for housewives, such as making crackers from fish bones and chips from tuna skin.
The United Nations COVID-19 Response and Recovery Multi-Partner Trust Fund (UN COVID-19 MPTF) was set out with three objectives: Entrepreneurship training & business development support; Income & employment generating skills, Gender equality & inclusive labor market. The International Labor Organization (ILO) module in collaboration with RIWANI Globe as National partner has exceeded the target and trained 1,402 new entrepreneurs and existing business owners.
RIWANI Globe as a national partner together with local partners from three provinces of South Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara, and Papua had carried out a series of activities to achieve program targets and outputs. This program has successfully supported participants to start businesses. Participants who have existing business were able to manage their business better such as better planning, costing and pricing and bookkeeping. Participants improved their marketing strategy that helped them to access a wider market and so to increase their income.
RIWANI Globe bekerjasama dengan Bank Jateng dan SBFIC (Sparkassenstiftung fur international Kooperation) akan mengadakan pelatihan TRAINING FOR ‘’KUM’’ ACCOUNT OFFICERS (Improving Quality Services for Micro Enterprises) dengan menggunakan Modul 1 ‘’Kerjasama Ditempat Kerja’’ dan Modul 2 “Mutu Layanan”.
