The ILO training program, “Transition to Responsible Digital Wage Payments for SMEs,” aims to introduce and promote non-cash wage payments among Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia. Digital wage payments involve the transfer of salaries directly to bank accounts, the use of mobile money, and other non-cash methods.

In this training, participants will learn about the various benefits of digitizing wage payments and the essential steps in this transition process. They will be equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to streamline payroll processes, effectively interact with financial service providers, and support employees during the shift from cash to digital payments.

This program is an initiative by the ILO, supported by APINDO, RIWANI Globe, and the Global Center on Digital Wages for Decent Work, as part of efforts to enhance worker welfare and promote financial inclusion in Indonesia. The training is being held in three regions, with documentation from the session held in Yogyakarta available below.
